Celebrate Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary in 2025
Starting on May 16, 2025, Disneyland Resort will begin its 70th anniversary celebration! To commemorate the special occasion, there will be several limited-time events. Let’s take a look at all the entertainment to celebrate happy at the Happiest Place on Earth!
World of Color Happiness
Disney California Adventure Park will debut a new version of the World of Color nighttime spectacular in Paradise Bay, which features dancing fountains, lighting, lasers, fog, and flames all set to familiar Disney soundtracks. The dazzling show will be hosted by Joy and the other Emotions from “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2” and will explore the theme of happiness. It’ll also blend in scenes from “Turning Red,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Tangled, “The Lion King,” and other favorites from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Paint the Night
The beloved nighttime parade, Paint the Night, is back! The parade features performers, floats, music, and characters from “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “Toy Story,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and more. During the parade, the floats light up Main Street, U.S.A. with more than a million LED lights!
Wondrous Journeys
At Disneyland Park, Wondrous Journeys returns as the nighttime spectacular. The show celebrates the tradition of storytelling at Walt Disney Animation Studios and uses music and projection effects on Main Street, U.S.A, Sleeping Beauty Castle, it’s a small world, and the Rivers of America to weave together scenes from “Hercules,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” “Big Hero 6,” “Moana,” and “Encanto” among other animated films. On select nights, Wondrous Journeys will also include fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle!
Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!
Starting the summer of 2025, guests at Disney California Adventure Park can enjoy the return of the parade, Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! The daytime parade has colorful floats and music, and features more than 2 dozen characters from Pixar films like “Luca,” “Turning Red,” “Soul,” and “Up.”
Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy
New for the 70th anniversary celebration is the Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy character cavalcade in Disneyland Park. Guests can join in with Mickey and his pals by dancing and clapping along as the parade passes by.
