Blizzard Beach for Toddlers
Disney recently announced that in 2025, guests of Walt Disney World Resorts will have complimentary access to Disney’s water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, on their check-in day. While the ski-resort themed Blizzard Beach is known for its water slides, what kinds of attractions and activities are available for toddlers, so the whole family can enjoy the water park?
Tike’s Peak
Kids 48” or shorter can enjoy this “Frozen”-themed splash pad. It has mini snow-banked slides, side-by-side slides that even parents can go down, snow chutes, and an inner tube ride meant just for little ones! They can also play in the zero-entry wading pools where they’ll find Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, and the Snowgies or play with the water jets at Anna and Elsa’s igloo castle. The sandy areas are also a great place to make some sand castles.
Cross Country Creek
Guests can ride an inner tube along this 3,000-foot lazy river. Along the way, they’ll find caves, bridges, grottoes, bubbling geysers, waterfalls, and leaky pipes. Inner tubes are available at any of the 7 landings along Cross Country Creek. Baby float tubes are permitted here as long as parents are in contact with the baby float at all times. Life jackets are available free of charge. Note that children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by someone at least 14 years of age.
Melt-Away Bay
This gentle, heated 1-acre wave pool is for all ages. Guests can float on an inner tube as the Mount Gushmore’s waterfalls create small waves in Melt-Away Bay. Little ones may also enjoy the sand beaches along the bay.
Teamboat Springs
On this family white water raft ride, up to six people can share an oversized inner tube and slide along 1,200 feet of rapids with plenty of twists, turns, and sprays. While infants cannot ride Teamboat Springs, toddlers can ride as long as they can hold on to the inner tube handles by themselves.
