All Aboard the NEW Disney Wish
If you are anything like me, the recent announcement revealing all the exciting new details of the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Wish, had me throwing my wallet saying, “Take My Money!!”
Launching in June 2022, the Disney Wish becomes the fifth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and is packed with new dining, shows, entertainment, and so much more. Let’s take a quick look at a few of the exciting features of this new theme park at sea!
Dining
I don’t know about you, but when I think of cruises my stomach starts to growl. Lucky for us, the Disney Wish is loaded with three all-new dining experiences!
Worlds of Marvel
Step into the cinematic universe as you join the Avengers in an action-packed mission throughout this theatrical dining adventure. This first-of-its-kind experience will include menu items inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
1923
Drawing inspiration from Walt Disney himself, 1923 will showcase the history and legacy of The Walt Disney Company. This elegant restaurant will feature dishes that provide a unique fusion of the cultural flavors found throughout California.
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure
Join Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf for a meal of world-class Nordic-influenced cuisine. This “Frozen”-themed theatrical dining experience brings Arendelle to life for an evening of amazing food and entertainment!
Accommodations
There will be so much to do on the Disney Wish that you likely won’t be spending much time in your stateroom. But, in case you do, each stateroom has been designed to bring guests more room and comfort than ever before!
The rooms on the Disney Wish feature a soft color palette, highlighted by gold accents and enchanting artwork that bring the stories and fairytales of Disney to life. A majority of the ship’s rooms will also offer an ocean view, including spacious verandahs.
For those looking for the royal treatment aboard the Disney Wish, check out the two-story Princess Aurora and Briar Rose Royal Suites! From upscale furnishings to first-class amenities including a private hot tub, these rooms are the ultimate escape at sea.
Entertainment and Activities
The Disney Wish is also loaded with all kinds of stuff for you and your family to enjoy while at sea!
I know that one of the first things I plan to do is take a ride on the first-ever Disney attraction at sea, the AquaMouse! Guests familiar with Disney Cruise Line can consider this an AquaDuck 2.0. Join Mickey and Minnie as they embark on an animated short that includes show scenes, lighting, special effects, and of course – a 760ft. aqua coaster that winds its way around the upper decks of the ship.
Those that enjoy entertainment will also not want to miss the brand new shows coming to the Walt Disney Theatre! Headlining this enchanted forest-themed theatre will be a reimagined adaptation of “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular”! The Disney Wish will also feature two additional new stage shows that will be announced at a later date.
The Disney Wish embarks on its maiden voyage on June 9th, 2022, followed that Summer by a season of three and four-night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
