Unique Accommodations Among the DVC Resorts

November 29, 2023
By

The beauty of DVC is that there is something for everyone, and this includes room types.  From Deluxe Studios to Three Bedroom Grand Villas, DVC offers a wide range of rooms to suit travel parties of different sizes.  There are even some room types that are unique to specific resorts.  Let’s take a look at these accommodations and where you can find them!

Aulani Hotel Room

While Aulani offers Deluxe Studios like the other DVC resorts, it also offers Hotel Rooms.  These are regular hotel rooms that sleep up to 4 guests with either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and a queen sleeper sofa.  They also include a balcony but lack the kitchenette that Deluxe Studios have.  The Hotel Rooms are slightly lower in points than a Deluxe Studio.

Copper Creek Cascade Cabins

These 1,213-square-feet rustic chic cabins at Copper Creek have 2 bedrooms and sleep up to 8 guests.  You’ll find a queen bed, a queen sleeper sofa, a pull-down twin bed, and a sleeper chair.  Similar to other 2 bedroom accommodations, the cabins have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and 2 bathrooms.  However, the cabins also have a private deck, double-sided fireplace, and hot tub.  Some of the cabins even have fireworks views!

Villas at Disneyland Hotel Duo Studio

These studios at the upcoming Villas at Disneyland Hotel sleep up to 2 guests with a queen size Murphy bed.  Most will not have a balcony or patio, except for those in the Garden View booking category. Artist renderings have shown that these new rooms will be themed after “The Jungle Book.”

Grand Floridian Resort Studio

In 2022, DVC added more than 200 Resort Studios to the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  These studios are located in the Big Pine Key building, which is close to the Courtyard Pool and the main lobby building.  While the Resort Studios are similar in point value to the Deluxe Studios and also sleep up to 5 adults, there are some differences between the two rooms.  Instead of the split bathroom and kitchenette in the Deluxe Studios, the Resort Studios have a shower/tub combo and a beverage center with a microwave.

One major advantage of the Resort Studio is that it has 2 queen beds (neither is a Murphy bed).  There are 3 booking categories for the Resort Studio: Standard, Lagoon, and Theme Park, which has views of the Magic Kingdom.

Polynesian Bora Bora Bungalows

These beautiful 1,093-square-feet bungalows at the Polynesian sit along the Seven Seas Lagoon and sleep up to 8 guests.  There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a private deck with a plunge pool.  The deck is the perfect place to watch fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.  You can even pipe in the soundtrack music for your own private fireworks viewing!

Riviera Tower Studio

These studios at Riviera are smaller than the traditional Deluxe Studio and sleep up to 2 guests.  There is a Murphy bed and a small kitchenette.  While compact, the Tower Studio still has a private balcony and plenty of storage thanks to its thoughtful design.

Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villa

The 1,074-square-feet Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 9 guests.  Though not literal treehouses, these villas are elevated 10 feet off the ground.  They have 2 queen beds, a bunk bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a sleeper chair.  There is also a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a large private deck that is perfect for outdoor dining.

Vero Beach Deluxe Inn Room

The Deluxe Inn Room at Vero Beach is very similar to the Deluxe Studio except that it has 2 queen beds instead of a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa.  It also has a kitchenette. There are 2 booking categories for the Deluxe Inn Room: Ocean or Garden View.

Vero Beach Three Bedroom Beach Cottage

In lieu of the traditional Three Bedroom Grand Villa that many of the other DVC resorts have, Vero Beach has a Three Bedroom Beach Cottage.  These cottages have 2 floors and sleep up to 12 guests.  The first floor has a master suite with a king bed, 2 other bedrooms that each have 2 queen beds, washer/dryer, and 3 bathrooms.  The second floor has a living room with a queen sleeper sofa and a full kitchen.  There are only 6 of these cottages at the resort, so they can be hard to book.
