Goodbye Muppet Vision, Hello Rocking Muppets at Hollywood Studios!
Big news just dropped for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it’s nothing short of thrilling for both Muppets lovers and Monsters, Inc. fans alike. It looks like two of our favorite franchises are getting a major makeover at the park, and I’m here to share all the fun details with you!
Monsters, Inc. Comes to Hollywood Studios
Hold on to your hard hats because we’re about to step into the world of Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and the rest of the Monster crew! Disney just shared some new information for Monsters, Inc. Land that will be opening on the south side of Hollywood Studios, and it’s sounding like a dream come true for all of us who have always wanted to enter the door vault.
One of the main highlights is going to be a suspended roller coaster, recreating the exhilarating door vault scene from the original Monsters, Inc. movie! If you’ve ever dreamed of riding along those massive doors, now’s your chance. I can’t wait to see how Disney Imagineers bring this to life — it’s bound to be a mix of thrills and nostalgia.
Of course, this new land won’t just be about the ride. There will be new dining and shopping opportunities as well, so get ready to enjoy some monster-sized treats and browse themed merchandise. They’re even planning a whole new theater show, so this area is shaping up to be an immersive Monsters, Inc. experience from start to finish.
The Muppets Are Moving to Sunset Boulevard!
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ve got some major news about The Muppets! It’s time to wave goodbye to Muppet*Vision 3D as we know it, but don’t be too sad because Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the gang are getting a bigger and better home. The Muppets are heading over to Sunset Boulevard, where they’ll be taking over none other than Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!
That’s right — The Muppets are going rock star mode. The reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will feature The Muppets teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars to put on the ultimate rock festival! If you’re like me, you’re probably already imagining Animal on the drums, electric guitars, and Gonzo pulling off some wild stunts. Disney promises new tunes and a totally Muppet-style adventure with plenty of humor, screams, and a whole lot of heart.
This also means there will be tons of Muppets-themed merchandise hitting the shops on Sunset Boulevard, and I can only imagine how fun it will be. I’m already planning my outfit for when I get to ride this — maybe some electric mayhem gear to go with the vibe?
What You Need to Know Right Now
There’s still time to catch the original Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and Muppet*Vision 3D before they close for good, so if you’re planning a trip soon, make sure you add these classics to your list. The curtain call is approaching, and you won’t want to miss the chance to experience them one last time.
Disney has also shared that they’re looking for ways to preserve parts of Muppet*Vision 3D for the future, so there’s hope that we’ll still see some elements of the beloved attraction down the line. Fingers crossed!
The Future of Hollywood Studios
It’s safe to say that big things are happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Between Monsters, Inc. and The Muppets, we’re in for some exciting updates that will bring even more fun, laughter, and thrills to the park. I, for one, can’t wait to see how these changes come together and how they’ll add to the magic of Hollywood Studios. Disney has promised more details coming next year, and you can bet we’ll be on top of every update.
