Easiest DVC Resorts to Book

Whether renting a DVC villa or booking a villa with your own points, you’ll find that some resorts can be much easier to book than others based on availability.  Below are the top three DVC resorts that are easiest to book, even when looking at the 7-month booking window and beyond.    

Saratoga Springs

As the largest DVC resort with 888 units and more than 1,300 rooms, Saratoga Springs has some of the best availability among the DVC resorts.  Saratoga Springs is also easier to book than most other DVC resorts since it offers a wide range of room types from Deluxe Studios to Grand Villas.  You’ll even find the Treehouse Villas that are unique to Saratoga Springs and sleep up to 9 guests.  

Old Key West

Like Saratoga Springs, Old Key West is another large, sprawling resort with 49 buildings and more than 750 rooms.  This translates to lots of room inventory.  There are two booking categories at Old Key West: Standard and Near Hospitality House.  Near Hospitality House only includes Buildings 11-14 and 23-26, which can book more quickly than Standard since they are closer to the lobby and most of the resort’s amenities for the same number of points.  However, you’ll often find the Standard rooms available at the 7-month mark or less.

Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village

DVC Members who own contracts at Animal Kingdom Lodge are able to book at both Jambo House and Kidani Village in the 11-month to 7-month home resort window.  However, availability is always greater at Kidani Village since it is made up solely of DVC villas unlike Jambo House, which primarily has regular hotel rooms.  With about 490 rooms, Kidani Village has more than twice the number of maximum DVC rooms as Jambo House.
