For select nights from October 4 to December 24, 2026, Disney is offering up to 20% off rooms. While it may sound like a good deal, how do these rates compare to the savings from renting DVC points? Let’s look at the math!
Disney World Resort Prices
As an example, let’s look at an actual reservation with this holiday discount. On the Disney World website, a Resort View One Bedroom Villa at the BoardWalk Villas from November 14 to 19, 2026 is priced at $876 per night (excluding taxes) with the holiday discount. For the 5-night stay, that’s a total of $4,380.

DVC Rental Store Prices
On the DVC Rental Store website is a confirmed reservation for the same exact November dates in a Resort View One-Bedroom Villa at the BoardWalk Villas, and it is priced at $4,060 for the 5 nights, including taxes and fees. That’s a savings of more than $320 compared to booking through the Disney World website since Disney’s pricing did not include taxes!
Bottom line: Even with Disney’s holiday promotion, renting through DVC Rental Store still offers greater savings on Deluxe Resort stays than booking directly through Disney.
