Comparing Options for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties
Fireworks dessert parties are a fun way to guarantee a great spot to watch Happily Ever After and enjoy some treats like cupcakes, chocolate silk tarts, cheese, and chocolate-dipped strawberries as well as wine and beer for those 21 and over. However, with three different options for the parties, what are the differences and which one is right for you?
Pre-Party
As the name implies, the pre-party option means that you enjoy your desserts at the tables in Tomorrowland Terrace prior to the start of Happily Ever After. For the fireworks themselves, you get a perfect view from a standing area in the Plaza Garden, which is in front of the Plaza Restaurant.
This option (and the post-party) give the best view of the show since you get a good view of the fireworks and the castle projections. Depending on where you are seated for the Seats & Sweets option, your view of the castle projections may not be as clear. With this option ending earlier than the post-party, it may also be easier for parties with little kids.
Prices vary depending on the date. The pre-party is $99 to $109 per guest (ages 10 and up) and $59 for kids (ages 3 to 9).
Seats & Sweets
Like the pre-party, this option starts with desserts at Tomorrowland Terrace prior to Happily Ever After. The difference with Seats & Sweets though is that you can stay at your table at Tomorrowland Terrace to view the fireworks instead of standing in the Plaza Garden. This is a good option if you have anyone in your party who can’t stand for long periods of time, or you’d like to eat while watching Happily Ever After.
This option is the most expensive of the three at $119 to $129 per guest (ages 10 and up) and $75 for kids (ages 3 to 9).
Post-Party
This option is very similar to the pre-party except that the order of events is reversed. With the post-party, you’ll watch fireworks from the standing area in the Plaza Garden first and then enjoy dessert at the tables in Tomorrowland Terrace. Since you watch fireworks first, some people feel like they can stake out a better spot in the garden with this option while the pre-party guests are still eating dessert. It’s also nice to have dessert while waiting for the crowds to decrease before exiting the park.
Like the pre-party, the post-party is $99 to $109 per guest (ages 10 and up) and $59 for kids (ages 3 to 9).
