Celebrate the Holiday Season at Disneyland!
The holidays will be here before you know it, and Disneyland has lots of festive fun that is sure to bring joy to guests of all ages! Here’s a look at all the special attractions, entertainment, and food that will make the season merry and bright at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Seasonal Ride Overlays
One of the best reasons to visit Disneyland Resort for the holidays is the ride overlays. You’ll find “it’s a small world” Holiday and the fan favorite Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland. Over at Disney California Adventure, visit Cars Land for Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
Festivals at Disney California Adventure
Guests can look forward to two festivals held at Disney California Adventure: Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! At Disney Festival of Holidays, foodies can savor holiday food and beverages from the Festive Food Marketplaces. There’s also lots of live entertainment to enjoy such as cultural performance groups, music, and dance plus “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade.
During Disney ¡Viva Navidad, head to Paradise Gardens for live music, food, crafts, and decor all inspired by Latin American traditions. On select days, you can catch either the Disney ¡Viva Navidad street party with The Three Caballeros, Mexican folklòrico dancers and mariachis, and Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists or street performances with Mirabel from “Encanto” or Migual from “Coco” that celebrate the holidays and familia.
Holiday Fun
Throughout the holiday season, Santa and select Disney characters will visit guests at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland, which will host cookie decorating, crafts, and storytelling. You can also take photos with Santa at Redwood Creek Challenge in Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. If you’re looking for Mickey, Minnie, and their pals, you’ll find them all decked out in their new holiday outfits on Main Street, U.S.A. and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure.
End a magical day in Disneyland with “snow” on Main Street as you watch the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” nighttime spectacular. In Disney California Adventure, World of Color becomes “World of Color – Season of Light” as fountains dance to holiday music and “snowflakes” fall on Paradise Bay.
Festive Decorations
Enjoy the sparkling decorations in the theme parks, or get a more in-depth look with the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, which includes holiday treats and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.” In the resorts, you’ll find the giant gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and brand new decor at Pixar Place Hotel.
A Bonus Holiday Gift: The Opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Disney has also shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on November 15, 2024! Guests traveling to Disneyland for the holiday season will be among the first to experience the newly reimagined attraction in Disneyland. As with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World, the attraction continues Princess Tiana’s story and takes guests on a magical journey through the bayou as Tiana and her friends prepare for a Mardi Gras celebration.
It’s not too late to book a trip to Disneyland to catch all the holiday cheer! Start by renting points to stay at the Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or the Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
