Brand New DVC Villas Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Get ready for even more magical opportunities to stay right in the heart of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World!
Disney Vacation Club recently announced plans to add 200 brand-new studio-style accommodations to The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
These new villas are anticipated to open in Summer 2022 and will be created by converting the resort’s current Building 9, also known as “Big Pine Key”, into a Disney Vacation Club property.
Here are a few key details that we are excited about:
- These new Resort Studio Villas will accommodate up to five guests and be slightly larger than traditional studios, similar to Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows rooms.
- Guests can enjoy amazing views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom from the comfort of their balcony.
- Rooms will likely feature a pull-down Murphy Bed similar to what now appears at Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.
- With the brand new walking path from Grand Floridian, you are a quick 15-20 minute walk from Magic Kingdom.
- All current and future Grand Floridian owners will be able to book these accommodations during the 7-11 month booking window.
Bookings for this new resort are anticipated to open later this Summer or in early Fall.
