Best Dining Locations in Disney World for Dietary Restrictions

March 18, 2024
By

Disney World is one of the easiest places to vacation and dine safely if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.  While just about every restaurant at Disney World has allergy-friendly offerings, there are some standout dining options at places such as Cape May Cafe, Raglan Road, Nomad Lounge, Erin McKenna’s Bakery, and Aloha Isle.

Buffets in general are great since they have lots of variety to suit different tastes and needs.  Like many other Disney buffets, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club has an allergy-friendly menu to help guests with dietary restrictions find foods that meet their dietary needs.  However, Cape May goes above and beyond thanks to the incredible Chef TJ who is beloved by Disney guests for his ability to create special allergy-friendly dishes that are not part of the buffet.

Raglan Road

This Irish pub and restaurant in Disney Springs is known for its live performances by Irish dancers and musicians and for its fish and chips.  Raglan Road offers a gluten-free version of its fish and chips that is fried in a dedicated fryer for gluten-free foods.  This helps guests with gluten sensitivities rest assured that there won’t be any cross-contamination.

Nomad Lounge

Located next to Tiffins in Animal Kingdom, the Nomad Lounge is a favorite spot among guests for drinks and light bites.  It’s gained an especially loyal fan base for its delicious gluten-free churros.  Some guests consider the Nomad Lounge churros to be the best ones on Disney World property.  Even guests who don’t need to follow a gluten-free diet enjoy them!

Baked goods can be tricky when it comes to dietary restrictions, but not at Erin McKenna’s Bakery!  This bakery in Disney Springs specializes in baked goods like cupcakes, cookies, and donuts for people who are sensitive to gluten, dairy, egg, and soy.  The only nut that the bakery uses in its treats is coconut, but the flour they use does not come from a nut-free facility, so there is the risk of cross-contamination.

Aloha Isle

Dole Whip is an iconic Disney snack, but did you know that several flavors of Dole Whip are also free of the top 8 food allergens (i.e.,peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)?  These flavors include pineapple, mango, raspberry, lime, and lemon.  The vanilla soft serve contains dairy and soy and is often an ingredient in specialty Dole Whip flavors like coconut, pumpkin, and cotton candy.  You can find Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom.  It’s also available at spots like:

  • Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
  • Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs
  • Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Resort
  • Refreshment Port in EPCOT
  • Storybook Treats in the Magic Kingdom
  • Sunshine Tree Terrace in the Magic Kingdom
  • Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Animal Kingdom
