After Hours Events Are Returning to Disney World in 2024
Disney has announced that After Hours Events are returning to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios in 2024! These hard-ticket events take place after regular park hours and have lower crowds, so you can look forward to shorter wait times. Here’s what you need to know about the events in 2024.
Event Dates
Events take place on select nights in these date ranges:
Magic Kingdom – January 11 to April 8, 2024
EPCOT – February 2 to April 4, 2024
Hollywood Studios – January 10 to April 10, 2024
Ticket Sales and Pricing
Tickets go on sale by phone (407-934-7639) starting November 7, 2023 for guests at Disney owned-and-operated hotels, the Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green. Sales for all other guests begin online on November 14.
Tickets cost $155 to $175 plus tax for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and $149 to $159 plus tax for EPCOT. If you are an annual passholder or DVC member, there are also discounts available ($30 off per ticket).
Complimentary Treats
Besides admission to the late-night event, your ticket includes unlimited, complimentary ice cream like Mickey bars and ice cream sandwiches, popcorn, and soft drinks.
Park-specific Details
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom events run from 10pm to 1am. If you are missing Disney Enchantment, be sure to attend one of the Magic Kingdom After Hours events for a special showing of the formerly retired fireworks show. With an After Hours ticket, you can enter the park as early as 7pm. This means that you could catch Happily Ever After during regular park hours before catching Enchantment during the event!
During the Magic Kingdom events, you can enjoy attractions including TRON Lightcycle / Run. Unlike during the daytime, TRON will have a regular standby queue during After Hours events. No Lightning Lane or virtual queue is needed! Besides the complimentary treats, you’ll be able to purchase snacks from Main Street Bakery and other select locations in the park.
EPCOT
EPCOT events take place from 10pm to 1am. Besides riding attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure with lower wait times, you may find some of your favorite Disney characters throughout the night!
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios events run from 9:30pm to 12:30am with attractions like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Slinky Dog Dash, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and meet and greets with characters. If you’re looking for more food and drinks other than the complimentary ones included with your ticket, stop by Anaheim Produce Hosted by Cuties, Milk Stand, or Woody’s Lunch Box. You can also find walk-up availability at Oga’s Cantina.
