A Look at the Renovated BoardWalk Villas
The renovations at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas are well underway. Some rooms are already available to guests. You can also visit a Lock-off Two Bedroom Villa (an adjoining One Bedroom Villa and Deluxe Studio) at the BoardWalk open house. Let’s take a look at the renovated BoardWalk Villas!
Addition of Murphy Bed and New Furniture
A big change in both the One Bedroom Villa and Deluxe Studio is the addition of the Murphy bed. The queen size Murphy bed is both more comfortable and easier to set up than the old sofa beds.
Among the new furniture are couches and chairs that add pops of jewel tones in the One Bedroom Villa.
In the studio, guests will find a table on both sides of the queen size bed and a new coffee table that extends upwards to double as a desk or table for the couch. This same coffee table is in the One Bedroom Villa. There are also two ottoman chairs for additional seating.
The new king size bed in the One Bedroom Villa and the new queen size bed in the studio feature reading lights that are built into the headboards.
Updated Bathrooms and Kitchen Appliances
The updated bathrooms have new fixtures, showers, and cabinets.
Guests who have stayed in the One Bedroom Villa prior to the refurbishment will notice that the bathroom now has a wall by the tub in place of the shutters that used to open into the bedroom. The tub is also no longer a jetted tub.
The one bedroom kitchen features new appliances and a printed backsplash. The studio kitchenette is largely the same as before except for the appliances. Note that the new mini fridge in the studio lacks a freezer section. Both room types have a new coffee maker that can make coffee with grounds or single-serve K-Cup pods.
Lots of Outlets
With a greater need for charging phones, laptops, MagicBand+, and other devices, guests will be happy to know that there are plenty of outlets in the new rooms. In addition to regular outlets, they also have USB and USB-C ports. You’ll find them next to the beds, along the dressers, and around the sink areas.
New Artwork
The renovated BoardWalk villas feature new artwork with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Max enjoying the resort! You’ll recognize areas like the Luna Park Pool, the leisure pool on the hotel side of the resort, and the boardwalk itself.
