Disney Springs Shops & Restaurants You Can’t Miss

May 22, 2020
By

Disney Springs is one of the most underrated places on Disney World property, and thanks to Covid19, it is the only place open on Disney property right now! So what is there to do at Disney Springs? Is it worth a day trip? Absolutely! You will find restaurants by some of the most well known chefs in the country, live music, exceptional experiences, and even a barbershop that specializes in giving bearded men a spa experience! Let’s go explore!

Disney Springs

Disney Springs Entertainment & Experiences

There are a wide variety of experiences to enjoy at Disney Springs! Of course shopping is one of the main attractions, but you can also go to the theatre, visit the brand new NBA Experience, take in a game of bowling, and stop by The Void. If you are wondering what The Void is – keep reading…it’s one of my favorite spots at Disney Springs!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Want to experience the wonder of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but don’t want to add one more thing to your schedule while you are at the Magic Kingdom? Disney Springs also has a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! If you are planning a park-free day, you can turn your littles into princes or princesses and schedule a fun dining experience at Disney Springs or one of the resorts!

Disney Springs

NBA Experience

The NBA Experience opened August of 2019, and for anyone (adult or kid) who loves to play or watch basketball, then this is the place for you! You can spend all day here if you like, or if you want to explore in the morning, leave for lunch, and come back later…you can do that too! Your tickets are good for one day! We explore the entire complex at our blog NBA Experience.

NBA Experience

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Splitsville Luxury Lanes is a family friendly bowling alley that brings an extra dose of fun to a day away from the parks. Complete with flat screen TVs, a billiards area, and a bar, Splitsville is ready to serve up fun times for all! Outside of regular bar options, their food selection even includes sushi!

Disney Springs

Movie Theatre

AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In is a great place to relax on a park free day. It also makes for a good end to a busy park day…just head over to watch a movie and eat dinner! Your legs will thank you.

The Void

As I mentioned before, this is one of my favorite places to visit at Disney Springs! Especially on a rainy day (or hot and muggy). Not only does this experience get you inside for a little bit, it is also so real and entertaining, your family will be talking about it for days! We had the joy of experiencing Star Wars: Secrets Of The Empire. And, honestly, I enjoyed it better than riding the Millenium Falcon. For more information, check out our blog Why You Need to Visit The Void at Disney Springs

The Art Of Shaving

Are you having a difficult time convincing your man to spend a day at Disney Springs while you shop? If the NBA Experience or bowling aren’t really his thing. Maybe he’d be interested in The Art Of Shaving. Think barber spa experience for your man!

Disney Springs Beard Shop

As soon as you walk into the shop, you’ll notice bottles of oils and creams lining the wall. Special combs, brushes, shavers, and soaps are just waiting for him to peruse. And if he’s feeling a little extra, he can make an appointment to get a special spa treatment on his facial hair. Based on our previous experiences, he’ll want to call a few weeks ahead of time to make an appointment. Typically walk in appointments are not available due to high demand.

Live Music

There are several places throughout Disney Springs that offer live music. Down by the Aerophile in Disney Springs, you can often find one or two musicians playing some easy listening music. Likewise, over by the Ghirardelli Shop, you’ll find a stage for larger bands, complete with seating.

Disney Springs Restaurants

One of the best things Disney Springs offers is their variety of restaurants by well-known chefs. You can choose from high quality fast food restaurants as well as top of the line sit down restaurants, all created by chefs like Art Smith, Masaharu Morimoto, Rick Bayless, Wolfgang Puck, and Guy Fieri.

Paddlefish

Paddlefish does not disappoint. If you are looking for excellent food in an inviting atmosphere, add this to your next dining experience.

Disney Springs

The crab and shrimp boils are the main event, and they are delicious. However, Paddlefish makes a mean crab cake and are sure to delight with their steaks as well. Their selection of adult beverages include whiskey and scotch flights, as well as the regular cocktail and beer offerings.

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

If you are looking for home cooked comfort food, this is the place you want to visit.

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'

It’s everything you would imagine in southern home cooked goodness! Not like you need another place at Disney to pack on the carbs…but hey…you are on vacation…so the calories don’t count.

Food at Disney Springs

Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant

Raglan Road stays true to its Irish roots, and offers a lively atmosphere! This is my husband’s favorite place to get drinks. If you are visiting for the first time, the Shepherd’s Pie is a fan favorite and a dish you will want to try!

Disney Springs

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

Ice Cream. Ghirardelli ice cream. Need I say more? We have to go here at least once on a trip! The line is long…but the upside is that as you wait in line, you can listen to a live band!

Joffrey’s Coffee

You can get Joffrey’s Coffee all over Disney property. In fact, if your room accommodations are on Disney property, you can make a cup of Joffrey’s in your room! However, there are only a few places, and Disney Springs Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea location is one of them, where you can get an extra little dose of Disney in your coffee by asking them to customize your drink with a Disney Character! This is definitely worth stopping by in the morning…or afternoon…or whenever you drink your cup of Joe.

Sprinkles

All you really need to know is that they have a cupcake ATM that dispenses cookies and cupcakes 24/7. And their cupcakes look too good to eat. And the line is really long. Soooooo… you probably don’t want to stop here…they only have cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, lattes and other amazing beverages.

Sprinkles
Sprinkles is everything that is charming.

Frontera’s Cocina

Rick Bayless’ Frontera Cocina has delightful Mexican fare in a bar type atmosphere. Known for their appetizers and cocktails, this is a fun place to stop by in the afternoon for some snacks and drinks. Their main entrees also pack a flavor punch and are sure to delight your taste buds.

Earl of Sandwich

This is a fabulous place to stop for breakfast…or lunch…or dinner. I mention breakfast because the restaurant isn’t quite so busy yet, and their breakfast sandwiches keep you satiated on a day where you’ll be walking a lot!

Disney’s Days of Christmas

If you are looking for a special way to remember your trip, a Christmas ornament will do the trick! Somehow it doesn’t really matter if it’s near Christmas or the middle of July, this is a great place to stop by and visit.

Goofy’s Candy Company

Goofy’s Candy Company is always a must stop for us a day or two before we board the Tragical Express and go home. It’s one of the best ways to take the flavors of Disney home with us and enjoy them for the next several weeks. You can find all types of candy, fudge, cookies, and other sweet treats.

World of Disney

This is one of the best places to visit and pick up Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. Or you know… find something to splurge on for yourself. Also their selection of princess dresses is outstanding! If you are looking for a way to save some money, you can always stop by here on one of your first days, pick out a cute dress and tiara, and create your own Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in your hotel room!

World of Disney

Don’t forget to visit Stitch (on the World of Disney sign out front) for a fun surprise!

Disney Springs has more to offer than what is covered in this blog, but hopefully you get a picture of what is available. You can definitely make a day of it at Disney Springs. Or you can stop by in the morning or evening for some great food options. If you want to stay close to Disney Springs, we offer room accommodations at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West! Saratoga Springs is within walking distance, and Old Key West is a short boat ride away.
