♦ I have paid the DVC Rental Store to add my Disney Dining Plan. How long will it take to show up on my reservation.
♦ Disney is offering “free dining” during my stay. Can I take advantage of that when renting DVC points?
Yes. When staying as a guest of a DVC Member at a Disney Vacation Club resort, you can purchase an optional Disney Dining Plan. One great advantage to renting DVC points over booking directly with Disney is that you do not need to purchase theme park tickets in order to participate. You will need theme park tickets if the restaurant you wish to dine at is inside one of the theme parks.
You have three Disney Dining plans that are available to you when renting DVC points. These include Disney’s Quick Service Dining Plan, Disney’s (Plus) Dining Plan, and Disney’s Deluxe Dining Plan. Disney requires that your renting member add your dining plan for you. You will make your dining plan payment via our secure payment page and we will make arrangements with your renting member for your plan to be added to your reservation.
The funds required to add your Disney Dining Plan must be received no later than 30 days prior to your check-in date. This ensures that your renting member can be contacted in enough time to add your dining plan.
The funds which you pay to add your Disney Dining Plan are a pass-through for the DVC Rental Store in that we simply pass the funds along to your renting Disney Vacation Club member in order to add your plan to your reservation via DVC Member Services. Because of this, we add a 4-5% surcharge (actual surcharge percentage varies according to rounding calculation) to Disney’s prices to offset Credit Card processing fees. This is to ensure that the DVC Rental Store does not lose money when adding your plan to your reservation.
Please note that a Disney Dining Plan can not be added via an ACH bank transfer payment or by utilizing guest supplied Disney gift cards.
Disney requires that all members of your travel party be on the same dining plan. They will not allow some guests within your travel party to opt in for a dining plan while others opt out.
Disney requires that you add a dining plan to all nights of your reservation if you decide to add a dining plan.
No. When Disney released the all new My Disney Experience feature, the Disney Parks system could no longer talk to the DVC Member Services system. Because of this, you will not see the dining plan through your My Disney Experience account on your reservation. The only way to see that the dining plan has been added to your reservation(s) is by confirming your reservation through our website and DVC Member Services or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
It may be added very quickly or it may take several days before your Disney Dining Plan is added to your reservation. Only your renting member can add your Disney Dining Plan to your reservation. It may take several days to add it due to your renting member’s schedule. Your member may be traveling or unavailable to add the DDP quickly due to a work conflict. Our Member Management team will stay in contact with your renting member to get your dining plan added as quickly as possible.
Reservations are highly recommended at many Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. You may make reservations online at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. It is recommended that you arrive at restaurants 5 minutes prior to your seating time. You will be seated at the next available table that can accommodate your party.
Certain dining reservations require advance payment. However, advance payment may not be required if you have a dining plan and associate your plan with your reservation. To do so, select the “I want to use my dining plan to book reservations” link in the search module on Disney’s Dining Overview page. Please note that although the cost of the reservation may be covered by your dining plan, you will need to provide a credit card guarantee to confirm the reservation. Your dining entitlements can be used upon arrival at the location.
Disney does not allow Disney Vacation Club members or their guests the opportunity to participate in any of the “free dining” promotions. However, in almost every case, you will save more money by renting DVC points and purchasing a Disney Dining plan than you will by booking your stay through one of Disney’s “free dining” promotions.
